The Outsourcing Network-Description:
Companies sit on buried gold in that outsourcing is an under-utilized tool for achieving strategic and operational business goals. Most companies engage in outsourcing yet few can say that they are satisfied and achieve value. We propose to do something about that.
Our goal is to equip companies and outsourcing professionals across various industries with tools for their management toolbox, broadening their perspectives and improving the way in which they manage outsourcing.
We will do this by facilitating a closed network of outsourcing professionals which will dig deeply into using outsourcing as a management tool, experimenting with new trends and networking robustly.
We will tackle the major issues of outsourcing as a management tool, among them:
- building appropriate outsourcing strategies,
- deciding what to outsource and why,
- defining and obtaining value in outsourcing,
- assessing and mitigating risks associated with outsourcing,
- establishing governance and managing resources involved in outsourcing,
- implementing change management to support the outsourcing efforts, and
- communicating the vision, value, and changes involved in outsourcing.
The Outsourcing Network-Purpose:
To provide a forum for sharing experiences, challenges and ideas while learning from others who are facing the same challenges.
To leverage experiences in diverse industries which will help us to surface great practices to be shared along with revealing entrenched sub-optimal methods which need to be altered.
To enable the network’s participants to orchestrate the activities in their external value chain from a value-centric position.
To help companies in the network to build more organizational and process maturity in outsourcing and partnering thereby enabling the organization to better deliver on its business strategy.
To provide a forum for sharing trends and cutting-edge practices.
To assure that these companies can be proactive in limiting and managing risks in their external value chain.
To help the individual participants to build stronger professional networks.
