Outsourcing and Offshoring: The Case of Evolving Procurement Organizations

The next IAOP Nordic Chapter Meeting

Speaker: Lydia Bals, Head of Procurement Solutions at Bayer CropScience

Procurement Organizations can be structured along Categories, Geographies, Business Units and Activities.
Depending on their operating environment and their internal strategic demands, different structures will achieve the best “fit”.
Lydia Bals will present two real-life examples, showing how to achieve a “fit” and emphasizing how the transition from one to the next structure can be facilitated. We will also discuss how external service providers play an increasing role in the procurement context.
