Making decisions and defining scope

September 25, 2013

This winter, one of our TON (The Outsourcing/Offshoring Network) programs will take an in-depth look at making decisions and defining the scope of outsourcing/offshore initiatives. Slated for the program are sub-themes such as:

  • Strategy development and building the business case
  • The limits of outsourcing–Does this differ among industries and/or functions? If so, how? Why?
  • Data-driven decision-making: risk models and using data to improve decision-making in outsourcing and offshoring
  • Scanning the market and vendor selection, destinations, localization, markets, proximity etc. What are our choices? What are the trends?
  • How do we define the scope of “work”? What’s included? Excluded? Why?

Our host, Danske Bank, along with our member organizations including Arla, Vestas, Ferring, GN, Danish Crown, Xellia, LEO, Carlsberg, IO Interactive, ECCO, COWI, Takeda, and FLSmidth Airtech will spend the day sharing cases and experiences on this very relevant topic.
